February 1 is the wrong time to visit Arizona?
I want to go really bad in Arizona, and im too impatient to wait until summer or spring. We are people outside the door, and if its warm enough, we would like to hike, rent a boat on the lake saguaro will float on the river of salt on inner tubes, visit Montezuma Castle, and much more. But it will be hot enough to ALL of these things in mid-September? I live in California, and unlike most people who live here, I like the heat. When I went to AZ in July, I have the weather was great, although it is 100 * outside. So how the weather / temperature during AZ mid-September. We will stay in Phoenix, but spend most of our time exploring other parts of the state, like going on excursions by jeep through Sedona, visit the Grand Canyon, etc. ..
Want to know about February or mid-September? Right now it's fine. About 100 during the day, 70 down. You can do all the things you mentioned except for Salt River. I think it closed last weekend for the year. February is an ideal time to visit. Time will be in the mid 70's to low 60 during the day, making it ideal for all outdoor activities (except swimming of course).
